TAKE NOTICE THAT THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF NEWTON COUNTY WILL MEET IN REGULAR SESSION AT THE IRIS & ANNIE HOWARD CIVIC CENTER IN THE CITY OF NEWTON ON THE 10TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 2007 AT 10:00 A.M.

DELIBERATE AND CONSIDER ACTION ON THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

1.       Minutes of previous Commissioners’ Court meetings.

2.       Departmental reports.

3.       NewtonCounty Historical Commission Amended Bylaws.

4.       Appointment of NewtonCounty Historical Commission Chairman and Executive Committee.

5.       Application for Pipeline Construction on CountyRight of Way in Precinct 2.

6.       Lenola Wyatt-Tutt to discuss Eagle Country Youth Center and Head Start Program.

7.       2009 Budget amendment.

8.       Set Holidays.

9.       Order designating day of week on which court will convene in a regular term.

10.   Accept statement, oath and deputation.

11.   Renew Property Lease between Reba Candice Cooper and Precinct 4 to store materials.

12.   Consider Closing CR 2030 in Precinct 3, and designate it as a Private Road.

13.   Selection of request for proposals for Health, Dental and Life Insurance.

14.   Continuing education certification.

15.   Payment of bills.

16.   Other business.

Pursuant to the authority granted under Government Code, Chap. 551 Commissioners’ Court may convene a closed session to discuss any of the above agenda items. Immediately before any closed session, the specific section or sections of Government Code, Chap. 551 that provide statutory authority will be announced.
