TAKE NOTICE THAT THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF NEWTON COUNTY WILL MEET IN REGULAR SESSION AT THE IRIS & ANNIE HOWARD CIVIC CENTER IN THE CITY OF NEWTON ON THE 13TH DAY OF JANUARY, 2010 AT 10:00 A.M.

Invocation
DELIBERATE AND CONSIDER ACTION ON THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

1. Minutes of previous Commissioners’ Court meetings.
2. Departmental reports.
3. Newton County History Center to submit names of the Newton County Historical Commission appointees.
4. Reappointment of the Newton County Library Board members.
5. Newton County Investment Policy.
6. Architect Marcel Quimby to present Change Order #16 with regard to the Courthouse Restoration Project (regarding the polymer-modified topping at public spaces and offices at the first floor of the Courthouse).
7. Architect Marcel Quimby to present Change Order #17 with regard to the Courthouse Restoration Project (regarding custom metal ceiling cove at the public areas and offices in the Courthouse).
8. Architect Marcel Quimby to discuss updated schedule for the Courthouse Restoration Project.
9. Modify deposit fee and operating rules to use Deweyville Community Center.
10. Financial Statements for NCPFC for the year of 2007 & 2008.
11. Temporary recess from Commissioners Court meeting to convene to Notice of Public Meeting for the Newton County Public Facility Corporation.
12. Appoint committee to work with county offices for selection of furniture for the Newton County Courthouse
13. Payment of bills.
14. Other business.
15. Adjourn.

Pursuant to the authority granted under Government Code, Chap. 551 Commissioners’ Court may convene a closed session to discuss any of the above agenda items. Immediately before any closed session, the specific section or sections of Government Code, Chap. 551 that provide statutory authority will be announced.
